For Women Over 50: Lesson In Creating Your Look Pt.2- LIPS

Did you know… your lips are an extremely sensual part of your body?

Even thinking about kissing turns us on! Proof: reading a romance novel or watching
a ‘chick flick’.  We’re there, and we FEEL IT!

So, let’s talk about Taking Care Of Lips…
ESPECIALLY for Women Over 50:

*As we age, our lip line seems to get more faint… every day! So to prevent the
‘Lips Without Margins’ look, most of us need to use lipliner (me included).
*Are you using the same shade of lipstick as you did, 10 or 20 years ago?
Maybe you should try a new shade.
*AND how recently did you whiten your teeth? Yellow teeth makes our smile look dirty!
You don’t need a $500 visit to the dentist. Most dentists sell  professional whitening
strips. They’re a little more than the drugstore kind… but the results are amazing!
*Most important: use a daily wrinkle cream on your lips and surrounding area.
*AND, we sure don’t want to see our lipstick bleed into the cracks around out mouth!
Try a no-bleed lipstick cream or liner.

SOLUTION: Run, don’t walk, to your nearest cosmetic counter and try… try… TRY!
Try on all that you can. The gals working at each counter are professional and they
know the how to help you. Ask questions and take your time.

By the way: women have been coloring their lips for centuries!
WHY? To draw attention to one of the most sensual parts of our body.

Let’s start a fact-finding trail:
Pls. comment and let us know what works best for you.
We can learn from each other!

Many Blissful Wishes,
Rebecca
PS: EXTRA TIP
Using lipstick colors in purple/blue  shade make your teeth appear whiter!
Stay away from shades in the brown/yellow color. Try, and you’ll see.

For Women Over 50: A Lesson in Creating Your Look, Part 1

Posted in Pleasure Power, Romance, Self Image, Sexy Again on June 17th, 2010 by Rebecca Eisele – 1 Comment

The seasons have changed: it’s summer in the northern hemisphere and winter south of the equator.
This is a good time to analyze and evaluate how you show your true self to the world.

Are you applying the same makeup you’ve used for 20 years?
Same hairstyle… same clothing styles?

Let’s start with makeup: as we age, there’s one thing we should never use…FACE POWDER! Why?
The fine powder may camouflage discoloration in your face, but it also clings to the lines and wrinkles,
especially in the laugh lines around your eyes and mouth.

This makes the finer lines look like crack in the sidewalk. And the deeper lines look like the
Grand Canyon! Using face powder after 50 is the easy way to appear older than you really are.

HERE’S WHAT TO DO:

*After applying your face powder, look in the mirror… then smile! What do you see?
*Better yet, move closer to the mirror… suprised? Imagine, this is how you look to anyone who gets
close… a snuggle maybe?
*With all the cosmetic counters available… take some time and let the pros show you alternatives
to face powder. Yes, they will want to sell you something. But when you discuss your concerns, then
they will do their best to make a happy customer, and show you their expertise.  And remember,
you don’t need to buy… at least not in that moment.

My Recommendation:
Make an appointment at a cosmetic counter. Tell them you want a daytime look or an evening look.
THEN… capture the comments from friends and family. And notice how your self-confidence gets
a boost.

And let us know your thoughts by adding a post to this blog.
We can learn from each other!
